Luke Littler stunned the crowd with a sensational nine-darter en route to lifting the Premier League trophy on his competition debut.
The teenage sensation beat world champion Luke Humphries 11-7 in the final at the O2 Arena, becoming the youngest-ever Premier League winner.
It proved to be a somewhat routine night for ‘Luke the Nuke’ who despatched the 2023 World Champion Michael Smith in the semi-final, running out an eventual 10-5 victor.
Littler came within two darts of hitting a nine-darter in the last-four clash but ultimately fell two arrows short.
The Runcorn-born ace made amends in the final though, as he completed a nine-dart leg immediately after the players’ mid-match break.
Squeezing the last dart of the leg into double 12, Littler’s actions erupted an already jubilant O2 Arena, with the World Champion runner-up serving a cheeky response to his achievement.
