Nick Kyrgios sheds light on exchange to get in Djokovic’s head as wrist issue lingers | Tennis | Sport

Djokovic is bidding to win a record-extending 11th Australian Open and 25th overall Grand Slam title this fortnight, and has not lost a match in Melbourne since 2018. But Kyrgios believes that some players can trouble the top seed, even though Djokovic is a clear favourite.

“I mean look he is [beatable]. In best-of-three, it’s possible. Best-of-five is a whole different beast,” he explained. “We saw the greats of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, guys like Andy Murray even struggled to have success against Novak on the biggest stages in the world.

“Do I believe there are players in the draw who can do it? Yes. I think Alcaraz, Sinner, Medvedev, Zverev, there are a bunch of players that can do it. But it’s an incredibly tough task.”
