Jessica Pegula was questioned about her family’s £74million yacht after crashing out of the US Open at the hands of Aryna Sabalenka.
The 31-year-old had high hopes of clinching her first Grand Slam title in New York, only to have her dreams crushed by WTA No. 1 Sabalenka in the semi-finals on Thursday.
After the match some tennis reporters were interested in her multi-million-pound family yacht that her father harboured at Long Island’s Manhasset Bay.
When asked about the yacht arriving in New York, Pegula said: “I don’t really know where they have been staying. I think they were anchored somewhere, but I haven’t been or seen them. I just see them after the matches, so I’m not really sure what they’ve been doing on the other days.”
